Cafe 2000 offers a good mix of Asian specialties and Western dishes including pizzas and pastas. We went for the crispy BBQ duck spring roll, a generous, fatty and delicious appetizer that fed four of us. For mains, I had the premium seafood fried rice that was just heaving with good stuff – a whole lobster, fresh prawns, slices of firm white fish, squid and mussels – a choice pick, comforting and hearty. The cafe’s signature items of chunky chicken pie and savoury curry puff looked good, and I would try them next time: though they are not listed on the menu, they are available from a pushcart in the alfresco area — for the convenience of the business lunch crowd that need to eat on the run.
